Success for Melissa Moscrop at the North West Youth Championships

Preston Arena organised by Kenny Beck at very short notice as the original organiser stepped down.

Melissa Mosscrop with Medal

It has to be said he did a great job along with the volunteer helpers, course marshall’s, officials and of course the riders in excess of 80 entries including riders from the Isle of Man.

All riders of varying age groups under 16 years boys and girls.

The weather conditions were to say the least poor with heavy downpours of rain which made conditions on the one mile circuit treacherous.

The lone representative from the club was the vastly improving Melissa Moscrop (12) who was the Silver medial winner in the C race, narrowly missing the victory by half a wheel, a win is on the cards very soon. She has been competing at every opportunity and is now seen regularly on club rides at the weekends and gaining benefit of riding in a group.

Once again thanks to everyone involved in encouraging the Youth riders of today they are the future stars it’s much appreciated.

Pictured below Melissa proudly displaying her silver medal.
