Evening 10 Mile TT – Thursday May 2nd.

Despite some last minute panics due to an enforced change of event HQ, the event ran smoothly.

The new event HQ for our evening 10’s will now be near the entrance to Blackgate Lane about 1km west of Tarleton lights and to the south of the main A565 (near Huntapac)

22 riders (6 SCC) faced the starter on a cool and breezy evening, with many people being up to a minute slower than in the last couple of weeks.

Fastest rider was Dave Turner from Cleveleys RC, 21.24.  Simon Deeley was fastest SCC rider with 21.42

Full results will be in the TT results section.

Thanks to all who rode or helped – in particular to the marshals on such a cold and breezy night.

Next week’s event coincides with the British Masters Golf at Southport Hillside.  A decision on whether to run the event will be made on the night – dependent upon traffic conditions.  (There will be no advantage in reverting to the old course as it carries just as much traffic).

Note: A pair of red sports sunglasses was handed in after the event – -I have them
